How often do you hear a new word for the first time? And how often is it a GREAT word? I just heard a new one
Melorism
It came to me on Instagram!
Melorism:
"the belief that we can contribute to positive change and improve the world through acts of love, creativity, compassion, and kindness."
I think most of us believe this to be true. But did you know there is a word that describes it?
For me this was a first. And I want to speak into this, as I believe when we can call something by its' name, it becomes more personal to us and it makes it clearer to see.
As we jump into the month of August, how about making
Melorism a focus for you and yours each day? How can you influence the world with more love and kindness? Who would benefit from this?
It's been said that humans are healthier if we have 8-12 hugs each day. And if they last 20 seconds it massively changes our connection with others. It can be rare to receive a hug if you are single or don't have kids. I last had one Monday. Hmmm...Maybe you and I can offer hugs as our act of Melorism. Or words of encouragement, or smiles. What will you offer? How will you fill the world with love?
