We spend so much time seeking to be understood. We fight for it, cry for it, yet life was never meant to be understood. It was meant to be felt. To be experienced through us.
The same is true with love.
But we focus on trying to make sense of life while we search for its meaning, purpose, our commonalities, and we get frozen in our differences. We get frozen in the challenges of life. And this comes from our desire to control life itself and everyone in it.
Yet somehow we know that the meaning of life isn’t found in control, but in freedom. It’s not found in the mind, but in the heart.
We feel the most alive when we are in the moment and experiencing our feelings. It is when we allow ourselves to feel it all: fear, love, passion, anger, uncertainty, and sadness.
It is in these moments that we grow and change. When we meet ourself without lying, hiding, or judgment.
We weren’t meant to live in our heads.
And that requires us to let life move us and move through us. To let ourselves be touched by the beauty, broken open in its challenges and chaos, while still staying open to feel it all. And this is where our freedom lies. Being willing to experience it all.
This is where freedom lives.
This is what it means to be fully alive.
